Shading Tips: Face1. Color the entire face a light shade of gray.
2. Shade the dark shadows with a mid-tone gray (don't forget to squint to see the basic shapes). 3. Use the hard and kneaded erasers to "carve" or "draw" out the highlights on the face and hair. 4. Add your "darkest darks" (most likely your nostrils, pupils, and inner ears). All other dark values should be in-between your darkest darks and your mid-tone darks. |
